Many of us would like to start a business but we are unclear on what product or service we can provide.

All successful businesses are a reflection of somebody’s passion. We help others to solve a problem, and we get compensated for our solution, product, or service.

👉But it begins with us. We have to be passionate about it to grow the business and to grow ourselves with it.

Answering the 5 questions below can help you get clarity on your passions and point you towards business opportunities around you.

1. When was the last time that I felt truly lit up? What was it about - (activity, topic)?

2. When was the last time I was researching something because I wanted to know more? What was it about? What topic?

3. What is my favourite thing to talk about at the dinner table?

4. What annoys me in my world? Something you nagged about more than 3 times lately? (We all sometimes do. We can turn it into an opportunity )

If you feel triggered by something then you have a connection to it. This kind of connection is linked to your passion.

Our passions are never random. They lead us to our purpose. Passions can also lead us to solutions.

5. How can I solve the problem I was having?

If you have this problem, somebody else might have the same problem.

If your solution can help other people, you can turn it into a business. People will happily pay for a solution to their annoying problems.

When we can help others, we can create a mission to do on a larger scale. This can become our purpose.

TIP: If you’re struggling with the fact that you have to charge for your solution, your product, or service, think of it as a 2-way interaction, similar to breathing.

Exhaling is to give, to provide a service, and inhaling is to receive. We can’t go far just exhaling… we need to inhale too.

Successful interaction is always a 2-way street, in personal relationships or a business.
